Procedure to Export Your Digital Certificate from Internet Explorer to your PC

Step 1 :Go to Internet Explorer. Select 'Tools' then 'Internet Options'.

Step 2 :Then select 'Content' and 'Certificate'. You will find a screen like this.

Step 3 :Choose any certificate. (Here for example the certificate of Mr. Ashok Karania is

installed) Click 'Export'. This wizard will start and click 'Next'

Step 4 :Choose 'Yes, export the private key'. This option enables to take the certificate back

up. Check the second option if you want to distribute the certificate to others. We take the first option. Click 'Next'

Step 5 :Choose the first two options. If you want to remove the private key from the pc then

choose the last option.

Step 6 :Enter any password of your choice. You are required to memorize it as the same

password will be needed during import.

Step 7 :Choose location to save your certificate. For that click on 'Browse'.

Step 8 :Select a location. Here we choose Desktop with file name Ashok_Karania. Keep the

default file name extention as .pfx

Step 9 :Click Next

Step 10 :Click Finish

If the export is successful then you will get the following message.

Now you can find your exported certificate on the desktop (as we chosen the path on

desktop) like this.
